Love strikes again as J/CSUPT EDWIN B RIEL, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau in reaching the unprivileged and in some way touch their lives thru Reaching Individuals Expressing Love (R.I.E.L) advocacy. Part of the 8th Community Relations Service (CRS) Month Celebration with this year’s theme: “Magbantay, Mag-
This time, it’s to help our little dreamers alleviate their needs in their daily school life thru the school supplies heartily given by the Regional Office personnel. Luckily, the incoming Municipal Mayor, HON. MYRA GEORGINA AREVALO graced the program adding bliss to our cause. MS. ANGELICA D. GUZMAN, School Principal expressed her appreciation to the men and women of the BJMP in selecting their school as the beneficiary for the gift-giving. “You are nothing less a blessing from God, from the bottom of our hearts thank you very much…” she said in her message. J/CSUPT RIEL felt delighted for the warm welcome from the school and to the supportive LGU to every undertaking of the jail bureau and to more accomplishments awaiting.
The awaited moment came, as school supplies were given by all the Jail Wardens and Regional Office personnel. When everything seems to conclude that the activity was about to end, J/SUPT MANUEL O CHAN JR, City Jail Warden of Tacloban City Jail-Male Dorm, made his dramatic entrance driving a “Pinoy Sorbetes” bicycle for the Summer Quench for Kids. All were given their refreshments paired with bread, as the command group personally scooped ice creams in cones to be savored by all pupils. It added joy bringing with them gifts and snacks plus the memories we shared with them.
Seeing them received their gifts lifts the heart, a great feeling we long to feel every time we share our blessings. It’s an addictive feeling of elation, the true prize of charity.
